Burglaries in Gloucestershire
There has been a worrying wave of burglaries near Newent in Gloucestershire in recent months, with homes in the area being specifically targeted. The burglaries all happened at night and windows were smashed to the rear of properties, in order to gain entry while home owners were sleeping.
The homes affected were in Glebe Road and Court Road near Newent, Tibberton Road, Tibberton and Popes Mead in Highnam. Thieves took a variety of personal possessions including jewellery. Many residents have been left anxious after the incidents, particularly with the added fear of intruders breaking in while they are asleep, making them feel vulnerable in their own homes.
Police have urged residents in the surrounding areas to review their home security in order to prevent further incidents
Ultra-Vision’s Quick Response
Ultra-Vision quickly visited the area as soon as the burglaries were reported. Occupants of the homes affected and their neighbours, shared their fears with our team. They reported having trouble sleeping, with the thought of the criminals acting somewhere nearby at night. Ultra-Vision had great sympathy and were able to offer a large discount to everyone concerned in their time of need.
Ultra-Vision were already extremely, but we recognised the great importance of acting quickly. We wanted to alleviate the fears of residents and deter thieves immediately, so we made the area our priority. We fitted bell boxes straight away, even before installation and set aside our weekend time, in order to complete all jobs as soon as possible.
Home Security
Ultra-Vision have now fitted close to 20 alarm systems around the Newent area. Half of the residents opted for monitored systems with remote response. Others decided on Ultra-Vision sirens, an ultimate deterrent for burglaries that take place at night. All our customers now feel safe and secure in their homes once again. Gloucestershire police will be pleased to have a better chance of catching thieves in the act.
Neighbourhood Watch
Ultra-Vision worked with local neighbourhood watch committees during the time of installations. We are all now confident that the added security in the area will be a huge deterrent against any burglaries in the future. Heightened security across the neighbourhood will be extremely off-putting for thieves and will be enormously effective in preventing any future targeting of the villages concerned.
